Uncle Dale Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 All 66 [sic, 65] books of the Bible are the only inspired text we have. All other so called inspired writtings have errors in them.DLCWell that was easy -- I didn't expect that you would agree with me -- that by the standards set in the Epistle of Jude, that the epistle itself should not be in any Bible compiled after the epistle was written. It looks like our conversation has come to an end.UD
DLClark Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Whether or not they are coming from my brain is a different issue.Wat I took exception to was your suggestion that spiritual experiences were strongest within a learned context. (i.e. Hoops feeling the spirit strongest among EV brethren and an LDS in the temple or some other specifically LDS environment.)Are we moving on to another subject now?the problem I have is knowing whose expreiences are from god and whose are not. If one person says they feel like the Koran is the Word of God and another feels like the Book of Momrmon is the Word of god who is correct. New revelation MUST be judges on the basis of previous revelation. God never controdicts Himself. We must have an object standard by which we can measure truth by. Jesus said this John 8:31-3231 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.KJVJohn 14:66 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.KJVJohn 17:1717 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.KJV1 Peter 1:24-25"ALL FLESH IS LIKE GRASS,AND ALL ITS GLORY LIKE THE FLOWER OF GRASS.THE GRASS WITHERS,AND THE FLOWER FALLS OFF, 25 BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER."And this is the word which was preached to you.The Bible was never lost it stands or endures forever. The Bible is free from errors and contradictions. It is the to rod by which we measure all Spiritual truth by. DLC
Doctor Steuss Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 The spetuagent contains error and was never considered by the Jews to be Scripture. Jude 3 tells us that the deposit of truth the Bible was once delivered. No delivered over and over again. That means anything that comes after the Bible that claims to be the Word of God is incorrect. The deposit of truth was ONCE not many times delivered. [...]Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.
DLClark Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.Tell me then what Jude 3-4 says. The problem I have is knowing whose expreiences are from god and whose are not. Doctor Steuss Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 <snip>I liked it better when you were doing wholesale plagiarizing. I
Uncle Dale Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Tell me then what Jude 3-4 says....It says that Jude 3-4 cannot be published in the Bible, because the Bible has already been delivered ONCE and cannot be delivered TWICE.It says that we each, right now, should take a pair of scissors, and cut the Book of Jude out of our Bibles, because Jude never intended his epistle to be part of a Bible already ONCE delivered, and which cannot be again TWICE delivered, by anybody adding the Book of Jude into the closed canon.Ready to start cutting?UD
