The Mechanics and Engineering of Bird Wings

I know this is an odd topic, but I've re-watched this video several times because the design and mechanics of these wings are so beautifully done, so I had to share it.  It's mesmerizing to see them function so effortlessly. 

And birds make these all the time all on their own!   (I think there is intelligent design behind them of course).  It makes you appreciate the design of actual bird wings.
