Spikes in the Wrist in "The Chosen"

Not long ago, we had a discussion of the TV series, "The Chosen," which has since been closed:

Just noticed that the show correctly has Jesus being crucified with spikes driven through his wrists, as was normal Roman practice. 

Other Jesus films have also followed this correct method, such as "The Gospel of John" (2003), 

That is an improvement over some of the unrealistic portrayals we have seen in the past.
