The world has declared patriarchy as subordinating women and thus equivalent to dominating over women. The former is true only I  the sense that men are leaders in God's Kingdom. The latter is completely false.  

"And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs."

Acts 7:8

Nothing about dominating women. In fact, that chapter speaks of the patriarchs as dominating over Jacob, and it was sinful. 

"Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee."

Immediately following that we read,

"And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her." Genesis 17:5;15-16

Where's the dominating of women? And in the restored gospel there's no doubt that God's Kingdom on earth is incomplete without women despite its "top" official leadership being men. Yet, to even point out top leaders being men is friend's upon. The Boy Scouts will comply. Quickly I think. 

Boy's uniqueness is they are typically stronger, more aggressive, take and physical chances more than girls. By no means is this exclusive to one gender but in general this is quite true. The Boy Scout programs have catered directly to this fact. To say this is not unique says boys are not essential to families. That has devastated many families in society.

This is literally what the word means:

"In sociology, patriarchy is a social system in which males hold primary power and predominate in roles of political leadership, moral authority, social privilege and control of property. In the domain of the family, fathers or father-figures hold authority over women and children."

That makes women subordinate to men - a wicked system.

Through their activities and moral standards. And it is not exorcise but exercised as you put it . 

The world has its definition of patriarchy but it's not the original meaning of patriarchy. There was no dominating women in it's original / biblical meaning even though men had the primary political and "spiritual power" if you will.

The word I've been using is subordinate, not dominate, by the way.

Edited to add: In the online definition of "patriarchy" you provided to support your argument it clearly says that men "predominate" women. Thus I ask how you personally use the word "subordinate".

Right, it doesn't mean dominating. Subordinate just means less than, second class. I'm subordinate to my boss in the hierarchy, that doesn't mean my boss dominates me.

 

Predominate means exert control or power, not necessarily the same connotation as dominate.

Very good. Now, going on strict academic sefinitions, i eould have to reverse words. I think the Church predominates leadership but does not subordinate women. I say the same for the Boy Scouts and the original mean g of "patriarchy" assuming it derives fron "patriarch".
