Rajah Manchou Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 (edited) Regardless of where the Book of Mormon account happened, we are starting to see evidence of Book of Mormon-like events beyond Jerusalem. Here's an interesting paper published about paternal haplogroup Q, which is the most common paternal haplogroup in the Americas.https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00438-017-1363-8 The paper provides confirmation that Jewish and other Middle Eastern groups also belong to Q. Samples of Q have been found on the Comoros Islands, which according to several ancient Christian and Arabic texts was first settled by a group of Israelites that left Jerusalem during the Book of Mormon time period. Another paper, published last month, confirms that glass beads that appear to be from the Middle East have been found on the north end of the Malay Peninsula dating to the early Book of Mormon time period. The Lehites and Mulekites would have passed through this area in the 6th century BC."At least, one gold-foiled bead was recovered at Khao Sek and possibly a second one. Both specimens are collar beads. One of the beads is tabular and the other one is cylindrical. They can only have two origins: the Mediterranean area or Pakistan where a number of locally manufactured gold-foiled beads were found." (source) Edited September 20, 2017 by Rajah Manchou 2
