So it really does make sound sense that bodies would be more meaningful than a formless energy. I really appreciate all your feedback and help, you have cleared up a lot of uncertainty and questions I've had. I'm very grateful. 🌺🌹🌻 You are correct. When one has a body, the spiritual part of his or her being remains; and through the addition of the body the spirit is enabled to have a broader breadth of experiences in a whole new dimension, experiences that would not otherwise be possible unless the spirit is clothed with a body. This is especially true after the resurrection when the body is glorified, perfected and eternally empowered. In the resurrection, the spirit is still able to do all the things a spirit can do, but with the body added to the spirit one enters a whole new universe of wondrous possibilities. This is why in his infinite wisdom God wanted us, his spiritual children, to have bodies. And why would God even bother to clothe our spirits with bodies if it wasn't a good thing to do? This is why the apostle Paul said he was looking forward to the day when his spirit would be clothed in a glorious resurrected body. The spirit is much better off with a body than without one. And just think of it, because God the Father and Christ have glorified and perfected bodies they will be able to embrace you in their arms one day! Group hug anyone? 1
