Anakin7 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) In the last several weeks a # of my Southern Baptist Christian friends from a local Southern Baptist church I would visit in the past [ Go to there church sevices,Bible studies, church activities, when I had free time to fellowship with them] told me a I should meet there new pastor [who actually I found out later was there pastor a # of years ago who had left but has returned]. So yesterday I met and visited with him for approx 20-30 minutes. I shared with him I was LDS and my past/present soteriological journey and quest to where I am today. I could feel his concern [also from his facial expression] that he had a cultist sitting across the desk from him. He did tell me he had studied mormonism and found it not in line with biblical christian historic christianity. He was christlike charitable about his views of us but did not need to read any material such as the Book "How Wide The Divide". I am giving the short version of the meeting here, as we left I asked if I was still allowed to visit his chuch as I was allowed to do by other past pastors [all except 1 who said to me no I would be wasting his and my time if I were to visit ] in the past, he stated yes that would be okay. We shook hands and he said "God Bless You" [ I thought you were not supposed to say that to a non christian cultist ? but was thankfull he said it to me] as I started to leave. I also noticed as I was leaving he went into his secretary and asked her her name , perhaps she was new. But I left somewhat feeling okay, perhaps we will meet again if I visit his church again. Just tryin to make friends. The Atonement, It Is The Central Doctrine Washing My Robes In His Eternal Debt/Grace Anakin7 Edited February 18, 2016 by Anakin7
