One has to remember that we are talking prior to the Reagan era when the Solid South meant the Solid Democratic South before the South migrated to the other party. For his time he was a very progressive Democrat. I don't believe he harbored any personal ill will towards blacks. He was genuinely offended by the movie Birth of a Nation. But he did feel it was not time for desegregation. It predates Reagan, but Reagan certainly used southern racism to become President. It is time to close the thread.
thesometimesaint Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Viva la difference...and all that, the question is over access to the decision-making process and whether the process has a limited band width...or whether that is just some inherited function from the hunter gatherer days.Anyone who feels the Sisters of the Church are lacking in authority doesn't know the Sisters of the Church very well.
