Also any non Biblical references by Apostalic Fathers, Anchient Church Authorities/Leaders/Dead Sea Scrolls or any other non Canonlcal works ? rameumptom Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 The Book of Mormon has lots of information on the Divine Council, as does the Bible and D&C. We just learn of it in an indirect way: usually as a prophet is brought into the Council as a member (Isaiah 6, 2 Nephi 16). We read in 1 Nephi 1, where Lehi joins the Council and receives his prophetic call. Nephi becomes a part of a council in the Vision of the Tree of Life. There are several other examples that you can read in my article here. I suggest reading the entire series, as I note the Council with Isaiah, and in some extra-canonical texts as well.
