Studies in the Bible and Antiquity 3 (2011) has just come from the press.

it includes a very brief "Editors' Introduction" by Brian Hauglid and Carl Griffin, as well as "Constructing Metaphoric Models of Salvation: Matthew 20 and the Middle English Poem Pearl" (Miranda Wilcox), "On Christ and Covenants: An LDS Reading of Isaiah's Prophetic Call" (David E. Bokovoy), "'According to Their Language, unto Their Understanding': The Cultural Context of Hierophanies and Theophanies in Latter-day Saint Canon" (Mark Alan Wright), and "A Text-Critical Comparison of the King James New Testament with Certain Modern Translations" (Lincoln H. Blumell).

In general, how do scholarly papers supporting truth claims regarding the Book of Mormon and the Book of Abraham by BYU/Neal Maxwell and other Mormon authors and scholars fare when it comes to publication within 1st-tier, professional, peer-reviewed journals? Such as in archeology or religion?

Sounds tasty. Will this be put up on the website?

For those interested, this new edition of the Journal Studies in the Bible and in Antiquity is now available online. I continue to be so impressed with the work that the Institute is putting out. The editors of this and the other journals are from my perspective to be congratulated for their efforts.

This journal has a very interesting article by Meso-American scholar Mark Wright that has interesting implications for sacred manifestations in the context of one's culture, including that of the Book of Mormon.
