Kemara Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I've been an unbeliever now for around 5-6 years. That first year was a sort of continuum from still-believer to unbeliever, and how strongly I leaned in either direction would have depended on what part of the year you caught me in. So four years ago, when the comment Scotty quoted was made, I had only been on the full-on unbeliever side for a year or so. The feelings were a lot fresher, and also the frustrations inherent in discussion about Mormonism between certain types of folks.....That said, I do think that some things I read from FARMS really did help put things into perspective for me in a way that helped me recognize, and accept, that the LDS Church in fact was on the wrong side of the argument. Sethbag in another thread you made the following statement: People can and do claim all sorts of things. Some of these people are lying, some are delusional, and some merely are a little over-enthusiastic and the story assumes a grander stature in its eventual retelling. What category do your most recent heartfelt claims about FARMS fit into? At a minimum the retelling of your experience seems of grand stature. Or is there an exclusive category for crystal ball gazers?
Hestia Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Too many personal comments. Thread has reached its end.
