nosmelone Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 So while reading Sorenson's "An Ancient American Setting for the Book of Mormon" he spoke of a ruinsite in the northwestern Guatemala valley called Alux. It was a ruin site that has never been excavated. It was named by an archeologist named Edwin Shook and would probably date to the beginnings of the Late Preclassic (late centuries B.C.) which is when King Noah caused a tower to be built on the north hill in the land of Shilom. (Mosiah 11:13). Our good friends at google and bing yield few if any results for Edwin Shooks "Alux" ruins. If anyone has any additional information on this ruinsite or any pictures or suggestions on where to get more info please share. Thanks
