I have, and there appears to be several LDS/Mormon related subforums for discussions.For any of you still wasting time on CARM (if that place still exists), this may be a better place to correct misconceptions/false doctrine.If you're worried about offensive material on Reddit (it got some bad press recently) there are front page controls that allow you to massively edit (censor) what material appears on your front page. I've found it to be a incredibly valuable tool, not just for all things LDS, but current events, hilarious material and politics. It gets millions of hits daily. Maybe we as a community can flood these sub-threads with positive activity. oats Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 I've spent many hours on reddit fueled internet binges. It has amazing posts. The AMA section (ask me anything) is great. There are occasional threads that cover a topic unlikely to be touched with face to face conversation. Plus there are hilarious posts.I posted a few times in the LDS section. It was satisfying to see people acknowledge a reasonable response. I am sure with some people it's still like banging your head against a brick wall, but a large percentage of the users are open to listening and to change their perceptions, at least.
phaedrus ut Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Reddit is very dangerous. Hours and days can be lost and only other redditors will get your inside jokes. Plus the place is filled with people very skeptical of all supernatural, magical, and religious claims. I've been a redditor for 5 years and mod several subreddits.
