If we're the dumbest generation, then I blame it on our parents.

Really though, how do you know that the average IQ amongst youth is lower than 20 years ago? Dare I say it, CFR?

It has nothing to do with IQ. It has everything to do with "common sense". All the knowledge in the world is useless if you don't understand how to put it to use in the betterment of peoples lives.

Well, I suppose that is one way to look at it, but to the best of my knowledge, these churches have continued their growth trend in good economic times and bad. The article that I linked to above highlighted how growing churches continue to grow and declining churches continue to decline, and this is a trend that has remained very steady.

Then perhaps then the more relevant factor is that JW, Mormons and SDA have an active proselytizing missionary program. I have never had a Protestant missionary knock at my door.

If you want to read about impressive growth, check out Falun Gong, which was founded in 1992 and had up to 70Million practicioners by 1998 before the crackdown.

Huh? Did we all miss something? What on earth did frankenstein say in his rebuttal to Mordecai that was nearly as offensive as, say, Mordecai's original post?

Believe me, EV's do proselytize, especially when they have some sort of event at their church, they will go door-to-door.

They also like to do mass mailing for their church or whatever special event they would be doing at the time as well; when I used to live in southern California, I'd get about 2 to 3 advertisements all the time, each for a different EV church.

Of course they'd always get thrown in the trash. :P

BTW, doesn't the SBC have an active mission in Utah? I remember they started it back in the late 90's, but I haven't heard about what happened to it.

I guess its still going on or something?
