Micah - Brass plates?

Just wondering if, according to Mormon theology, the book of Micah would have been included in the Brass plates?

That aside, IIRC Micah is believed to have been a contemporary of Isaiah. As such, his writings should have been available for inclusion on the Brass Plates, had the compiler been so inclined. However, I'm not aware of any revealed information, or even any opinions from highly placed sources, as to the inclusion or otherwise of Micah's writings.

Perhaps I should have worded that differently. Just thought we were speaking of "religious truths" pertaining to Mormonism's point of view. Thanks for your reply.

Thank you for that. However, I still struggle to see how the inclusion or otherwise of a particular prophet's writings in a particular compilation of scripture is really a religious question. "Was Micah a true prophet," or "are Micah's writings authoritative scripture," or "what does this particular Micah passage mean" are questions of religious truth for Latter-day Saints, but "was Micah's book included in some compilation C" is not.

We don't have any logical or philosophical framework that tells us what should be included in any given compilation of scripture, so the question is not in any regard a doctrinal one. We simply consult the records: Did anyone who actually saw the Brass Plates (e.g. Nephi) comment on whether or not Micah was included? If not, did any such person unambiguously quote or refer to something from Micah? If not, has any modern prophet said anything germane to the question?

AFAICT, we draw a blank on all three questions.

I'm truly embarrased at not having worded this properly in order for you to see it as a functional query....thankyou for your thoughtful, kindhearted, un-demeaning response. I'm sure I will come back this way for more insightful information regarding Mormons, Mormonism and how they conduct their lives.
