Yes I would say you are right on both counts. We agree God didn't create this confusion. In fact it is this very confusion which prompted Joseph Smith to act which subsequently led to the restoration of the Gospel. In fact we think that this confusion and division is quite upsetting to God. For example Jesus prayed that his followers be one (united) like him and God the Father are, this can be found in John 17.

May I also say that I have enjoyed your clear questions and the discussions they have generated and how you come to what I think are very good conclusions. I hope you hang around here for a long time, it is great to have some Islamic representation here.

Some Christians recognize the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price as scripture, and act accordingly. That's the main difference between non Mormon Christians and memebers of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints.

Some "Christian megachurch ministers teach from the texts of Greek philosophers primarily because they art bored with so many subjects as described in the Bible. I don't blame them given the Bible stopped being contemporary over 1500 years ago. Check out religioustolerance.com - there you will find through their significant research that there is no thread connecting all denominations. Thus, a singular notion of what is Christian is myth.

So was Christianity then only relevant whist it was contemporary? What has contemporarity got to do with veracity?
