Stephen D. Ricks, and John A. Tvedtnes argued that Zarahemla might be zera+chemla(????? ??????? )

"seed of compassion". Chemla(???????) means "compassion, merciful, pity" and it's cognate chamal(?????) means "spared".

I actually read it as zara rather than zera, that is, sowed compassion. I think Tvedtness's conclusion is based on how Zarahemla is usually pronounced in English IE Zerahemla.

What you mean is that the Smiths were actually related to Gesenius and he wrote the BoM for Joseph, which is why it took him a while to finish up his lexicon.
