I was looking at Michael Coe's The Maya 7 ed. Looking at the different Maya kinglists, I cant find a king older that 300ad. The oldest possible king, Yax Ehb Xook,might have lived as early as 200ad. Yax and one other guy precede Sihyaj Chan K'awiil 1, who that reigned in 300ad. Yax Ehb Xook reigned in ???.

These rulers are from Tikal, which is outside Nephite territory. Zarahemla/Santa Rosa was in Zoque speaking territory, not Mayan.

So why do people expect to find some king list which reads: "Zarahemla, Mosiah, Benjamin, Moshiah,Alma...." from 200bc to 50bc when the extant king lists dont go reliably past 300ad and only by conjecture to 200ad?

Who expects to find such a king list? I would only expect to find such names if I were a believer in BoM historicity and if my belief placed them in Mesoamerica. You, on the other hand, are such a believer.

No, what I am saying is: whether or not Paanchi walked the land of ancient america is something that cannot be proven or disproven by an appeal to archeology.

Honestly, I'm beginning to lean more toward placing the BOM geography in North America in the Great Lakes area. Recently I've found some interesting articles correlating the names of certain towns with BOM cities among other things. Also the Hill Cumorah was in New York not Meso America. I call this LGT2

The only problem with the Hill Cumorah in NY theory is that we don't know that it was the same Hill Cumorah. Very easily a poor lonely wandering Nephite might have named local landmarks after places at home (I don't know where I might get the idea that people do that - maybe because I was raised in Portland, OR, named after Portland, ME )

The Hill Cumorah in NY, was it called by that name before or after the BofM was written?Hint: It was first call Hill Cumorah in 1829. Wiki said that it was the Mormons who first called it that, but the Church didn't exist until 1830, so it couldn't have been the Mormons. The local have called it "Mormon Hill" or "Mormon Bible Hill." Before 1829, the hill didn't have a name other than "that hill on Mr. Sander's farm."
