Can you explain your scriptures as well as you copy them in light of the WOW requested by the Lds Church?

Those who unrepentantly "abuse food and prescription medication" cannot honestly answer yes to the temple recommend question of whether they are keeping the WOW. Just as i could not when i was drinking my espresso iced rather than hot to keep the word, but not the spirit of the covenant we members chose to keep.

What was it that you specifically found in the scriptures that made your "espresso iced" against the teaching of God? What was it that made you "unworthy" according to the scriptures? Was it anything other than not obeying what yor were told by the male authorities in your church?

How is the gender of the leaders of the church relevant? Nevermind, that's probably something for another thread.

Those called to lead Christ's Church are also given the authority to lead it. That is to say that their interpretations of the covenants we make are relevant to me. I really can't answer that any better without giving a testimony. Beyond that, the need to forgo iced espresso (or even a 2nd helping of chocolate brownie ice cream) can be found in the Romans verses i posted for those willing to see it. They were posted for the original poster's request, but if I have helped answer some of your questions, that is great too.

The WOW probably serves as one of the most difficult and intrusive aspects of mormonism in our marriage and family. It's not because of what it can do for the positives in life, but more because of the "all or nothing" line in the sand that it draws relative to a belief in Christianity. Obviously, it may impact me more because of the fact that I am a non-member spouse with children asking the question of the Lds Church: Why? ...

Why is it that my wife can enjoy an occasional glass of wine, be the perfect specimen of health, be the perfect mother, and yet not enjoy whatever it is that one who does not do that gets in the Lds church. ...

Why is it that one with a reasonable mind should not conclude that this is nothing but "mind control"? And while I respect all may have personal testimonies, can I at least ask for either an official Lds church response or one that addresses how one who can have terrible lifestyle habits (ie; those who abuse food and other prescription medication and yet qualify for temple recs) are any different.

Yet you complain that the Church wonâ??t allow you wife to go to the temple? If you find your wifeâ??s current religious obligations to be intrusive, why would you want her to take on additional ones?
