WalkerW Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 An article of mine on innovation and humility was published today in UNT's North Texas Daily. It features the insightful words of Bill Hamblin from his Patheos article "An Enigmatic Mirror: An Introduction."The article's title (not what I would name it) is "Innovation Comes by Becoming Humble." It is found on pg. 6 of the link. Enjoy!
Kenngo1969 Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Inexplicably, your screen name now makes sense!
Mordecai Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 So I read the whole article, and it's really good. It's a truism that people who use the terms "open-minded" or "close-minded" are almost always idiots, prideful and/or anti-intellectual. I hate that term, now. It's lost it's original meaning completely, due to badly educated people trying to use it to manipulate and shame people into opening up to their (often insane) point of view.
Mordecai Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 As a side note, I heard, years ago, that Utah's state legislature was rated as the most innovative of any of the states' by an independent "panel of experts." I attributed it, in part, to things like 7 Habits and the basic principles that enable cooperation, honesty, and creativity.
WalkerW Posted April 29, 2011 Author Posted April 29, 2011 Did you use you appropriately, Dr. Hamblin?
Bill Hamblin Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 The only time I've seen my name and "humility" together!Nice article.
WalkerW Posted May 7, 2011 Author Posted May 7, 2011 I meant did I use you appropriately. Head ahead of hands.
