As a Canadian who served quietly among you in the National Guard...in two military-intelligence units...and who emigrated to this country as a toddler five decades ago, thank you for agreeing to serve this country and to honor your uniform. A reminder of our oath of enlistment, if I may. Our oath: To obey LAWFUL orders. Timothy McVeigh ended up hating himself *and* his country because he made the mistake of obeying illegal orders to shoot surrendering troops. Blood of the innocent on his hands. May God forgive and have mercy on his troubled soul. As a fresh recruit conditioned to do only what he was told, he likely knew not what he was doing. Hindsight 20/20. May we learn from his tragic mistake. Our oath: to defend the Constitution against enemies both foreign and domestic. Your mission should you choose to accept it: to quickly discern whether I am friend or foe of this Constitution. The Executive branch does NOT have the constitutional right to declare war, and never did, and decades ago, Congress abrogated the right to declare war...previously granted to them by the people, a loaned right which reverts back to the people (your employers). Any order by the executive branch to engage without the clear prior approval of the people means the executive has become domestic enemy of the Constitution, and you would be betraying your oath and would have the blood of the innocent on your hands. Your restored field-commissioned CHIEF commanders, the only ones who can authorize war, are the sovereign people of the United States of America. My MOS (military occupational specialty, for others): 71L Army Administration. Distinguished Honor Grad of my 71L Army Admin graduating class at Fort Jackson Old Tassel (Yes, Jackson disgraced his uniform when he breached the Constitution by defying the Supreme Court with the Trail of Tears.) As did *every* soldier under his command who disgraced the flag and their uniform during Jackson's unconstitutional deployment to drive the Indians via the Trail of Tears... Please honor the emblem of freedom, the stars and stripes, and the uniform you wear.Please stand down - or break ranks and step forward as a barricade in front of the innocent - should you be ordered to harm others outside the scope of lawful/Constitutional authority. The Secret Service promises to take a bullet for the former commander in chief. I believe you have the courage and mettle to do the same for your true commanders in chief: the people of the United States of America. Requests: Please watch Thunderheart (Val Kilmer). His journey of discovery is important. Please consider Elves in History, those who are likely your ancestors, and please remember there were both light elves *and* dark elves. Please choose the light. Many of you descend from actual elves - honorable people once of the Elbe region who stood firm in 9 AD and resisted tyrants, and who have forgotten their noble past.. German/Dutch/Scandinavian/British/Australian/Canadian/New Zealand/South African heritage derive from the people of that region. You can be one of them by choosing to be as honorable as they were. Consider Nephites in Europe. Before some Nephites went to Europe 2000 years ago, they fought to defend their homes and families, and the homes and families of those whose religion did not allow them to fight. Think: Hacksaw Ridge. As with Costner in Dances with Wolves, I've honorably gone native. As with Avatar, you are invited to step forward and claim your noble birthright too. And to *eventually* retire with honor. (Or opt for the awesome Valhalla thing: dust off, rise up, and continue the fight for right in other ways.) Doesn't an MP and any other patriot have the right to arrest those issuing/following unconstitutional orders under charges of treason as domestic enemies of the Constitution? I will not obey your order. My brigade shall march for Liberty tomorrow morning, at 8 o’clock; and if you execute these men, I will hold you responsible before an earthly tribunal, so help me God.” And/or a heavenly tribunal. I was never issued an unlawful order, nor would I have obeyed one. We were men of honor...granted I served much of my time in a medical unit on a medivac helicopter, we "we're" heroes. The message is responsibility. Tethered by our oath and the constitution. And tempered in love. We gently chasten those we love. And, like you, and like Desmond Doss, I love our troops and former troops. So why should we send them into harm's way (and to harm others) for unauthorized conflict? That said, the executive branch has no right...under the Constitution we promised to defend...to declare war. And never has. Rules of engagement first required a constitutional declaration of war by Congress, a body which however abrogated that right decades ago - for political expediency. A power which boomeranged back to the people who temporarily granted it. So America now doesn't engage any supposed "enemy" without clear and confirmed authorization from *the people* of the United States. And with signal intel, if we aren't sure we can trust what the compromised media, and compromised electronic vote tallies, and even the internet itself (which is a Pentagon invention) tell us (which we can't), in the event an order doesn't resonate right, we need to stand down until and unless we have reliable confirmation. Whoso lacketh wisdom... In our day, to obey a commander in chief who exceeds his Constitutional powers to kill others without a Constitutionally-authorized and verified declaration would be us falling to stand firm on our military post on two bedrock principles of the oath of enlistment. Defending the Constitution against domestic agencies (military-industrial complex which includes intel units and an executive branch that thinks it has the right to foment war....with all due respect to Vizzini's right to be tragically wrong about such things that are nowhere near glorious (war is hell)...who did standard tactics: insult his troops to obey under threat of being sent back...unemployed...in Greenland.) And obeying only lawful orders. Which can otherwise tragically harm one's own soul, and shred the basis for the Constitution, and the freedom that patriots bled and died to establish. Remember the internet itself is an invention of the executive branch/Pentagon...which drained the swamp of funds from previous news agencies/reporters. News stations are now largely compromised. So signal integrity needs to be cross-checked and confirmed. As an honorable former German pilot might advise, when your manmade instruments can't be trusted, we use what God has given us, reasoning, love, and the inner compass/Liahona. If any of that offends you, that is not my intent. If that instead gives you sharper clarity of constitutional checks and balances, and the right and responsibility of troops to stand down in the face of unjust, illegal, or unclear/unconfirmed orders/authorization, that *is* my intent. notHagoth7 Posted February 27, 2017 Author Posted February 27, 2017 (edited) Troops...please keep in mind what the current government does with all-to-many veterans when you are discharged....too many come home physically or mentally shattered...to a largely unresponsive VA. Too many of our vets end up homeless. And unemployed In a very green land. And more veterans die at their own hands than at the hands of the supposed enemy. I walked into an Army recruitment center a few weeks ago, asking how I might go about finding/hiring veterans in need of work (I have several business I'm thinking of launching...but have not yet decided in which state or country I'm going to do that) and was told by the Army rep that he didn't know what could be done for discharged servicemen/women. Perhaps another contact there might have been more helpful, but I hope his answer resonates for some. If you want to reenlist, many will help you. If not, you may well be deemed SOL. Which is why I'm sending out this SOS. The Air Force recruitment center did help me locate veterans looking for work. (No offense to the Army or other branches, but I have been told over the years that the Air Force does a much better job taking care of families.) If you wonder the kind of reception you'll receive on your return, if orders don't resonate as being properly authorized or as being ethical/legal, please, please stand down. Wouldn't it be better to address/resolve the root cause? Than the symptom? Otherwise the cycle of violence goes on. And/or worsens. What does loving our supposed enemy actually encompass?
