Helen47 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 http://mormonstories.org/lowry-nelson/ It seems missionary work in Cuba was somehow in difficulties because there were so many people of negro dissent there. This seemed to upset Dr Nelson.Years ago I had a letter exchange with Lowell Bennion. He did not agree with the doctrine. I heard Dr Prince in a podcast state that one of the apostles wanted to discipline him but David O MacKay told him to leave Bennion alone. How many other Mormon intellectuals had the same view? Years ago I had a conversation with a missionary who served in New York before 1978. He said that missionary work among afroamericans was not as enthusiastic as that towards others. If you want to start a thread on this topic make it very specific with clear talking points to avoid race baiting and do not just offer a link as a topic.
