Narrow Neck - Location & Width Errors

Nowhere does it say the Narrow Neck was 1.5 days wide or that it was on the east side of BoM lands. Unfortunately for Sorenson and others who never understood the meaning of the text, their interpretations have twisted the geography, confused readers and led to a weakening of faith in the Book of Mormon.

Sorenson, his admission of bias and his inability to correct those biases is a prima facie example of what happens when a person approaches the geography with a preconceived physical and/or mental map. They will never be able to let the text speak for itself, but rather, they will force interpretations in order to make the text fit their preconceptions.

Anyone who approaches the field of BoM geography with a physical location in mind before extracting the Internal Map is disqualified right off the bat and must move on to a different hobby in some other field.

Whereas it doesnt specifically say the narrow neck (all of it) was a day and a half journey, it does say that at some point on or very near the narrow neck it was a day and a half journey from the east sea to the west sea. It is then explained that the land southward is entirely surrounded by water except for the narrow neck of land which led into the land northward. The only place that fits this exact criteria is the narrow neck being the land of Panama with the land southward being South America.
