EllenMaksoud Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Over where I publish my stories, there is a huge ruction about religion in stories. Some of the authors are really incensed. To me it has become laughable.So, I believe I am a Mormon; perhaps a quirky one, but this church is the one that comes closest to reasonability for me.Additionally, I think that Isaac Asimov's, "Foundation Trilogy" perhaps comes close to the true unfolding of events, though I have no idea as to where on that time line we earthlings are.

I think Ellen is probably right in assuming that that view of humanity in the cosmos is "close to the true unfolding of events". Metaphysical belief injected into scifi and fantasy is what powers the story. It is ludicrous that anyone would get "incensed" over religious/metaphysical content!...
Programmer Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I have no problem believing in a God, in his Son Jesus Christ, and his in Latter Day Prophet Joseph Smith. Nothing has ever shaken that, nothing. Not even these and other web-boards which I used to frequent many years ago.
