New Book Of Abraham Video

I have not watched it all yet. I don't know who is behind it as it is a new user. They provided links to MormonThink, but the author does not indicate he is from MormonThink.

Anyway... thought it'd pass it along. I'm sure it's all stuff we are familiar with, but I'm always interested in views that try (although bias is always in anyone's video) to show both sides of the arguments.

I know most here will disagree with his conclusions, but curious if anyone find anything untrue in the evidences he's putting forth.

A very interesting youtube vignette. I have spent many hours observing and documenting papyrus ("Book of the Dead), most recently in the Neues Museum in Berlin and previously in the Louvre, Paris and Cairo Museum, in Egypt. In a few weeks I will be travelling to the Salinas Regional Archaeological Museum in Palermo, Sicily, (hope it will open?) to get a look at its records. Should that fail I'm off to the Turin Museum and their papyrus.

The only point of discussion I would have with this video is about the length of the papyrus scrolls. Some papyrus were considerably longer than the few meters mentioned. I've seen scrolls well over 20 meters long.

The interpretation of the hieroglyphs, however, is spot on. Joseph Smith's translation has no bearing on the actual record shown, neither in picture, names, or text.
