I'll refrain from saying 'are there no workhouses' because the situation in places like Spain and Greece is tragic. But for the grace of God there goes UK and USA.

That whole EU is a mess from what I read. Unfortunately we have some in the US that want to duplicate it here in the US. Now that's a real Bah Humbug.
