volgadon Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 In 90 AD the Jewish council of Jamnia, in order to distance classic Judaism from the upstart Christian sect, selected the 39 original books of the Masoretic text, written in Hebrew, as the "official" Bible of Judaism.There is actually zero support for this claim. 1
