Zakuska Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Daniel 10:1212 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.Kind of throws a monkey wrench into the idea that Daniel was 'irresitably' drawn to God as Evangelical Doctrine dictates. God only heard Daniel after Daniel "set his heart" and "chasened himself" before God.
Log Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 For more fun with Calvinism, see here: http://voxday.blogspot.com/2012/02/exploring-evasions.htmlAnd here: http://voxday.blogspot.com/search?q=team+calvinThe funnest part is: Vox is an evangelical.

I think it would be more accurate to say irresistable Grace is a doctrine a minorty of Evangelicals hold. Other than that, I agree the Daniel passage creates difficulty for such a view.
