In the FAIR thread, while responding to Mariner, I made the following discovery, and I was wondering if anyone else has any insights.

Is called in Egyptian Enish-go-on-dosh; this is one of the governing planets also, and is said by the Egyptians to be the Sun, and to borrow its light from Kolob through the medium of Kae-e-vanrash, which is the grand Key, or, in other words, the governing power, which governs fifteen other fixed planets or stars, as also Floeese or the Moon, the Earth and the Sun in their annual revolutions. This planet receives its power through the medium of Kli-flos-is-es, or Hah-ko-kau-beam, the stars represented by numbers 22 and 23, receiving light from the revolutions of Kolob.

I realized that this could be symbolic of our relationship with God and Jesus Christ. Just as the sun is said "to borrow its light from Kolob through the medium of Kae-e-vanrash," we also "borrow" our "light" (the Light of Christ, maybe?) from God through the "medium" of His Son. The "grand Key" (does this have anything to do with the priesthood keys?) is the "governing power" over the sun and all other stars and planets in the same way that Jesus Christ (who holds all the keys of the priesthood -- the light in my head just clicked on!) is the "governing power" over those who have faith in Him, have been baptized in His name, have received the gift of the Holy Ghost, and have endured to the end and are destined for eternal life with our Heavenly Father in the celestial kingdom.

This is really fascinating to me. I'm just getting started here, as I know there are many more cool things to learn from this, but I just had to ask what others think. Am I interpreting this correctly?

Yes. Brent Metcalfe has pointed out that the structure of the Abrahamic astronomy as laid out in Joseph Smith's Egyptian Alphabet and Grammar actually mirrors the priesthood structure of the early LDS Church. There are the twelve moving stars, the twelve fixed stars, and the three grand governing bodies. (The missionary quorum, the presiding quorum, and the First Presidency.) The notions of governance, borrowed light, etc. all seem to have theological meanings.

This goes back to the ancient and universal religious idea of symmetry between the human, cosmic, and divine realms.

It's interesting that in AMORC (the Rosicrucian Order) there is a chant we do where we intonate the sound "Kae-e." I wonder if this has any relationship with some kind of ancient concept.
