cdowis Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 (edited) Second Great Rebellion or Chicago Quote – A. Milton Musser papers, LDS Church Archives. This was a letter from Nephi Packard to A. Milton Musser on July 24, 1896:“… My brother, Noah Packard, says that he heard the Prophet Joseph say that the next great (U.S. civil) war after the war of the rebellion (the Civil War of the 1860′s between the North and the South) would commence in a little town now called Chicage but at that time it would have grown to be a very large city. And another brother told me that the Prophet said that the cause of the next great trouble of the United States would be the depreciation of the currency of the United States. I believe I have given you all the facts in as short and concise manner as possible.”I have been thinking about that for awhile. I recently ran across a video from an investment advisary firm which suddenly made it all make sense. It is rather lengthy, and you can ignore the last part where they talk about the steps to take which leads to a subscription to their newsletter.Regardless of how I thought about the validity of this as a prophecy, this is pretty serious stuff. I did not realize what a profound effect that the currency devaluation could have on us.You can see it here http://www.stansberr...WVD/LPSIM953/PR(this quote was posted elsewhere but the topic had been closed) Edited September 16, 2011 by cdowis

The conclusion of the video is not only do you need to buy gold, but you need to do it in a very precise way so as to avoid legal problems keeping it overseas when the Feds make everyone turn in their gold.I'm far from an expert, but I can usually detect BS. I sold off a gold eagle coin I purchased on my birthday in the year 2000 a couple of months ago (I figured quadrupling my gains was good enough).Fun fact, the gold on the roof of the Dome of the Rock is from the 1980's after gold prices came crashing down from levels only slightly lower than they are today.
