thesometimesaint Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 BOMG:I've read it many many times. I know what it says. I also know what later Prophets have said about it. The WoW doesn't command vegatarianism. It simply says that meats are to be used sparingly. The tradition Chinese have known this for millenia. They use meats more as a flavoring than as a main ingrediant. Heart experts in this country have been recommending a diet lower in animal products for nearly a generation now. Looks to me that the WoW was right on.
Ares Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 What century is this? No one schooled you clan on the correct understanding of the WoW? Even without the JST of Genesis 9, the SDA figured out God's law of health and I suggest you read that and reread D&C 49:18 which means the opposite of what you've been taught. The highlighted statement is antagonistic. Don't start threads to start fights. A comparison of SDA and LDS religions can be done politely and in a spirit of appreciation. If you want to politely compare the two religions and their practices start a new thread with a new tone.
