I guess that Book of Abraham is very valuable if we take into consideration its origin. First of all not in direct lineage from Abraham "first hand" and guarded through honest true priests. But the reality is that the book lived through "hands-in-hands" of false priests, for very long in Egypt. And they had chance to make their changes and "improvements" in such original book, to become according their believes. Not much in accordance with Abraham's teaching. Thus the book became at their image and similitude. Quite like we had with the Bible, that had some precious parts removed or changed during the period of apostasy, which was quite short in relation in which the Book of Abraham remained quite like in the "darkness", in the catacombs (that are much darkened places, as I visited them in Italy...).

One such evident corruption is easily evident, even with naked eyes. It is from facsimile nr. 3. You can see that the Kolob is not symmetrical. It is very unusual to have furniture that is not symmetrical; mainly because of gravity effects would tend to make it unstable.

Thus, as "scientist" I decided to investigate so strange "furniture" and I enlarged its base and support at the ground.

What did I find? It is a forensic evidence of one fraud, of one crime of adulteration of the original drawing from Abraham. Facsimiles are result of adulterations, as ading Egyptian texts and drawings over an original figure. Thus not all the Abraham Book is useless or valueless. It is quite like Koran Boor or Bible Book. It has to be used/read with care.

You will see a much enlarged picture that is only the central part of facsimile nr. 3, at its central part, where it is sited the KOLOB figure, which is the INCENSE BURNER furniture. God Jehovah and God Father are sat over a wood furniture in the left side and Abraham is on feet in the right side of the Kolob that is generating the VEIL = CURTAIN that separates the two environments, Heavenly time (left) and Mortality time (right). Kolob is next to the Heavenly environment and convert Heavenly time into Mortality time, as 1 God's day time = 1,000 years mortality time.

In fact the relationship is exponential like (x God's day time) power a = (1,000 years mortality time) powers b. We can see that from Koran Book... not cubit or cubic...

But what is important is what is at the lower part of the KOLOB furniture (which is described in Moses' revelation received from God about how to build tabernacle..., a furniture made in wood and covered with a thin sheet of gold). See the lower part of the picture, of above URL. You will see that somebody, FALSIFIED God's FEET x KOLOB furniture. Also falsified the design of the KOLOB FURNITURE: it is unstable equilibrium. According revelation God provided to Moses, such furniture is SYMMETRICAL... not the absurd shown. False Egyptian priests made the falsification, as false also are the additions of the false Egyptian texts on the Facsimile... LDS should consider them as valueless "but" beautiful ornaments to put as "decorative elements on the wall" (as so many persons of others religions do...). Or could remove the ornaments and consider the teaching behind and before the catacombs.

I don't know if "diary" is a good analogy for these ancient religious writings, but I found your interpretation interesting.

However, I must ask what is the basis for your interpretation?

I, as a former Muslim (Islamite), and I had learned about Book of Abraham (and Book of Moses) in Islam (Koran), concluded that something was wrong in Book of Abraham when I myself (without help of LDS Missionaries) converted into LDS religion. Thus I decided to make "scientific" investigation about the discrepancy and about "time".

Not because of hieroglyphic vignette and about much fancy things that there were (there is) going on in the vignette.

Then it became "worst" as I learned to translated, back and forth (write and read), the Nephitic language to modern languages. In fact I understood and learned that the Nephitic language is just the language of my very very very very old ancestral people, the "sabelli's" (SABaoth ELI) and even being able to read their written material in very old Italy (as in tombs) and in very very old Indian Tombs in USA (the language in Italy and USA being exactly the same as that shown in "CARACTORS" list Joseph Smith provided to USA scientist Anthon, with a copy made from Gold Plates). See in this Forum, the section on Gold Plates Seminar BYU, where I posted about that. And also in the section for The Book of Mormon Geography, 1921...

Thus I concluded that the main core of Book of Abraham was bought, as a papyrus, in Egypt by Lehi and Nephi ("...fallen into OUR hands..."), by rich people (by great amount of Lehi's family money). Thus the information, obtained as the papyrus, was translated in Egypt from the papyrus, by Nephi, and placed into Nephitic language (1 Nephi 1:2). Thus apostated Egyptian information was rescued from the "darkness". As "dark" are the "catacombs" of Egypt. Never Joseph Smith went into the "catacombs" of Egypt and never Joseph Smith was "our hands, as meaning many persons". Joseph Smith only ended the translated to English: of something that already was translated to Nephitic: language. Thus it was in the same condition for translation as Book of Mormon (in Nephitic Plates) to be translated. Not requiring a special translation from hieroglyphs.

I noticed that the translated material/words in Book of Abraham were quite like the same pattern and words followed with Book of Abraham: a scientific viewpoint. Should I be worried in wasting my time with vignettes of Egyptian text? I removed all of them in Facsimile as Evil additions from false priests. As apostated additions. Mine are "cleaned" of evil painted and written graffiti and rubbish.

This is my explanation.

The way we dress is very cultural one: changes with time and space (geography). Don't make/impose judgment about other culture and time, as of Abraham's.

I may have seen people from other very distinct culture, from other very distinct and advanced civilization in time and space. And they were dressed in a very distinct way. But it was their way. It is quite like a social "convention".

As there is no legend, Abraham could be teaching toward the highest priest and/or the Pharaoh, and to the next person being the symbolism of a common person. They were not seeing the Heavenly scene. Thus Abraham was turned to them, telling about he had seen. Maybe there was some significance about Abraham's headdress. For sure for God Father and his Son (on Background and Foreground, respectivelly, sat on the long "pew" (perpendicular to the foreground vertical plane), we can differentiate them only by their distinct sized headdress and cloth details. Heavenly God Mother (there is no "goddess"), "Mary", who is the same God with GodFather, is in the very Left side, and She is "modernly dressed" in brilliant gold like cloth. Book of Mormon talks about Her: thus about Jesus' motherS.

For sure the text is talking about Jesus being born in HEAVENLY JERUSALEM and from HEAVENLY MOTHER, the God "MARY", first wife of Heavenly Father, the one shown in FACSIMILE 3.

See MARY, the Heavenly Mother, "G O D" with Heavenly Father, at the left side.

Never was an Egypt "GODDESS" or alone female being "god" or "goddess" of having independent priesthood.

As it is suggested in LDS Book of Mormon when in syncretism with Egyptian Religion/religious reasoning (Isis' Goddess).

It appears she=Mary was descendent of Aaron, the high priest...

Sorry for the bold letters and underlines and big sized characters. But this was a very special case that required their use, to call your attention, to through away Egyptian ideas from LDS sites. I beg your pardon, in advance, puritans of the language and Anglo-Saxon Egyptian cultures. I am from the Latin-Sabelli and Nephitic cultures. American Indian descendent, also: Guarany that means "Humble red-skin" (plenty of them in Paraguay, Brazil, and Argentina)
