changed Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 (edited) ran across this, and thought it was interesting...http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/releases/162835.php "Folk wisdom usually has it that "seeing is believing," but new research suggests that "believing is seeing," too...""The novel finding here," said Winkielman, of UC San Diego, "is that our body is the interface: The place where thoughts and perceptions meet. It supports a growing area of research on 'embodied cognition' and 'embodied emotion.' Our corporeal self is intimately intertwined with how - and what - we think and feel." for some things, seeing is believing..for other things (the important things, like how we perceive others, and what our character is, what kinds of relationships we form, our outlook on life) it appears that believing is seeing - that we create our reality through what we believe...I think it is important for both those who believe, and those who claim not to believe - either way, looks like much of the world is what we make of it...our beliefs alter more than our perception of reality... our beliefs literally change what reality is - beliefs change our character, change how we interact with others, and therefore change reality...
