Not many other types of entertainment are currently being reviewed for inclusion in DSM-V and ICD-10 as mental disorders...Moderation in all things is a pretty good ideal.This advice is as useful to compulsive gamers as it is to compulsive gamblers or alcoholics. Moderation is great for most people, it is not advisable for people with addictive or compulsive behaviours.

One is up for sponsorship right now =).I personally find more value in cooperative board games (Pandemic, Ghost stories, Forbidden Island) and other complex management board games (Agricola, Puerto Rico) than in video games. Just a personal preference.Agreed, some of them are very fun... I think the reason people aren't attatched to them is because they either A) prefer long games with building upgrades [which is addictive] or B) really short games that are easy and yet satisfying [also addictive]. But, I figure there might be a way to get them to like something in between.
