Church History - Early Saints Erroneous Visions

All,

I remember reading an instance in church history where some saints around the time of Page and the seer stone were hitting themselves over the head with a blunt object and they would see stars or what they were interpreting as visions.

Does anyone have a reference on this story?

Thanks,

MD

Are you sure there is a reference? Some people will believe anything but not sure if its the people hitting their heads or the ones making up the stories. :P

When I fell and hit my head on the sidewalk I didn't realize it was a vision or I would have paid more attention. :P
