Yes, there are theological developments and differences of theological opinion in the Bible.

Nice way to duck that scripture. I take it you simply were outdone by his true interpretation of scripture.

Old scriptures taken out of their original meaning to say that God is literally invisible are completely, and laughably wrong!

If God (The Father) was really invisible, than if he sits on his throne it would appear to be empty. All the Angels in heaven would wonder where he was. No one would be able to worship him because they wouldn`t know where to find him.

What a drag that would be for an all powerful God. No one can see him.

I hope you can agree with me, that such a concept is ridiculous in the extreme.

Such thing is not a God, that is a concept. A God who is invisible and without body, parts or passions, is not a God really: He (it) is just a concept.

No doubt. :P

There's truth to that. The concept of Logos/Wisdom in Second Temple Judaism had to be introduced for precisely that reason: God, Platonically conceived, could not really do anything, and so a derivative entity (or "second God") was needed to serve as God's active, public face. Incidentally, this is consistent with the LDS view that Jesus (the Logos) is the God of the Old Testament (though it is obviously inconsistent with Mormon theology in other respects). The similarity is probably due to this LDS tenet's derivation from the older, popular Protestant/Catholic notion (dating back to some of the earliest Fathers of the church with their highly transcendent understanding of God) that all OT theophanies are appearances of the premortal Christ.

Yet Proverbs 8 says Christ (aka wisdom) was created, brought forth, setup and Colossians agrees that he was the first thing God the Father Created. BEFORE his works of old.

Gotcha as in... ca-peesh... understood... I understand what you where saying.

Lets look...

Col 1:15-18

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Something you must learn is to allow the Bible to interpret itself before you jump into makng an error.. See right there in the Context it tells us how Jesus is the Firstborn of every creature..

firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

What is it you think Proverbs 8 is specking about? It is clear to all who will actually read what it says instead of putting a slant on it.. The speaker in the personification of wisdom.. God possessed wisdom from everlasting? I have no idea how you twisted what it is saying..

Yeah this one really got me... Because I was to dumb to look into the context...

Jim, hang with me here.

It sounds like you are suggesting that Jesus Christ = The Everlasting Father. Therefore,

1. God the Father = The Everlasting Father

2. God the Son = The Everlasting Father

Are you a modalist?

I am a trinitaian.. I quoted Isaiah 9:6.. Jesus and the Father are One God.. Modalism teaches that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit never all exist at the same time, only one after another. Modalism denies the distinctiveness of the three persons in the Trinity even though it retains the divinity of Christ.

Modalist churches often accuse Trinitarians of teaching three gods. This is not what the Trinity is. The correct teaching of the Trinity is one God in three eternal coexistent persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Sargon, this is simply AWESOME!

Another scripture:

If Jesus is has a Body, and Jesus is God, then God has a Body.

Ooops, it looks like the spirit-only thumpers now have a theological dilemma on their hands. Perhaps if they get enough PHd`s together they can order a revelation to figure it out. :P

Unless as the Scripture teaches Jesus is the Mighty God, the EVERLASTING Father... Jesus is the Image of the invisible God.. IHS jim
