The comment that you made years ago towards the little girl is echoed by many members today.

First of all, she wasn't all that little. She was about 20 as was I. Secondly, my comment to her was stupid and based on a perception on what was proper in the LDS church. Since then I have had many new experiences including a mission to Japan where we were instructed to encourage investigators to get rid of their 'butsudans" or Buddhist prayer alcoves. I couldn't do it. I felt this was something best left to the local members if they so desired. Third, while I understand that such intolerance most probably exists today it is done with ignorance and not with any real thinking. It would be interesting if you polled those on these boards with their perceptions of cross-wearing. Any chance?

Agreed. Very little research has ever been done on this subject... so when I am finished with my Thesis, I hope it will be helpful for LDS.

I would expect the LDS participating here to be more liberal than the general population of the Church. But I agree that having a poll would be interesting.
