who are the 24 elders in book of revelations?

just wondering if they are the original 12 in the land of isreal and the original 12 among the nephit's

or are they two sets of living apostles in the last days called to serve at the same time?

A. We are to understand that these elders whom John saw, were elders who had been faithful in the work of the ministry and were dead; who belonged to the seven churches, and were then in the paradise of God.
