Consecration/United Order vs Socialism/Communism

So with a certain politician appearing in the news a lot advocating socialism and all my devout Mormon friends posting anti-socialist, pro-capitalist memes it got me thinking. With Consecration/United Order being a past, present and future part of the gospel in varying degrees, what do we see as the real difference?
