Popular Post Bill “Papa” Lee
Due to the positioning, of my daughter-in-law’s, and youngest Son’s baby, and weight, she will deliver on Monday March 13. A few days ago, I had another serious health scare, and hospitalized “AGAIN”, but thankfully home tonight. But tonight it is only about 36-38 hours until another baby girl arrives. We have only one grandson, all others are granddaughters. Also, due to the difficulties is this pregnancy, our Son and his Wife, have assured us, this will be the last baby. I am a so happy, so blessed, that a “Loving God”, has allowed me to remain to see my last grandbaby arrive, that I may hold her in my arms. All of life going forward is now a bonus. It is still looking to be a painful, and confusing time remaining, just still bits of joyful bliss. Prayers please for Monday’s delivery. Also prayers that I can enjoy, and remember everything I love, until my time is past. 10 Link to comment

rodheadlee
!0 years have gone by since I saved this poem by you. Laying Down the Sword Fractured light against the sky As clouds conceal the westward flight, Autumn colors that brightly shine Announce the coming of the night. The day is ending, as it should Content that I have done my best, While others bid me labor on I desire to be at rest. With the ending now before me To the victor goes the race, The finish line is clearly drawn In the lines upon my face. Like a warrior from the battle For peace my soul doth seek, The spirit strong and willing The flesh so very weak. Weep not for me my children Weep not for me my friend, This is a new beginning And, not a tragic end. I am called to others labors In the service of my Lord, I’m not giving up the battle I’m just laying down my sword. (William E. Lee) December 1998 Copyright 1998 4 Link to comment
