Hello. Thanks for taking the time to read my introduction. My online handle is "Alaris" and I enjoy writing articles on (blog link in sig) and discussing the mysteries of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have participated in other LDS forums, but I really like what I see here so far as the conversations seem to be both respectful and edifying. I started this thread to also respond to RevTestament who started reading my blog articles. My favorite topics to discuss are the uncovering of the seven levels of mankind - a deep truth regarding spiritual progression that helps reinforce and unlock the mysteries such as the mysteries surrounding the Davidic Servant and Multiple Mortal Probations. Though I am not perfect, I promise to strive to be respectful to your beliefs and ask for the same. Thank you!

I perused your blog, and well, came to a disagreement almost immediately. In your blog you write:

However, from D&C we read

D&C 113:1 Who is the Stem of Jesse spoken of in the 1st, 2d, 3d, 4th, and 5th verses of the 11th chapter of Isaiah?

2 Verily thus saith the Lord: It is Christ.

3 What is the rod spoken of in the first verse of the 11th chapter of Isaiah, that should come of the Stem of Jesse?

4 Behold, thus saith the Lord: It is a servant in the hands of Christ, who is partly a descendant of Jesse as well as of Ephraim, or of the house of Joseph, on whom there is laid much power.

5 What is the root of Jesse spoken of in the 10th verse of the 11th chapter?

6 Behold, thus saith the Lord, it is a descendant of Jesse, as well as of Joseph, unto whom rightly belongs the priesthood, and the keys of the kingdom, for an ensign, and for the gathering of my people in the last days.

The rod is Joseph Smith, so cannot be the branch growing from the root. You are combining two separate people. But I agree with you that the Branch is the latter-day ensign.

The name David is not an earthly name. It is a priesthood key, which Christ has held for at least 2000 years. So, if you are waiting for some dude named David to come along, I doubt he will be named David anymore than Yeshua was. Same with Immanuel.

Unfortunately, I believe Enoch is a spurious book. It may have some truth, but is not reliable.

However, I do believe in MMP, and agree that the latter-day ensign has yet to be seen by man. Man sees without seeing, and the world is largely in darkness again. I hardly think Enoch 62:14 is your best support form MMP. That is to be found all over scripture including the rod from Joseph's mouth.

You also state:

I just want to caution you that reincarnation as taught in the world is a doctrine of the devil. You should not use that word in connection with MMP. Reincarnation teaches that spirits come back to live in this world as another life, born, etc. This is contrary to Hebrews which teaches that we live this life but one time and then are judged. MMP says that we live this life, and most will be saved. Yet, as I see it, in a new world with a new beginning in the word, we have another chance to progress onto the perfection of God. It is in my mind, clearly a different teaching.

I'd be happy to address in a new thread as I don't want to derail the super blue blood moon. It looks like I can only post in social, so I'll see if I can quote you over there.

The "Rod" as I use the term is the character mentioned in Isaiah 11:2-5 including the seven characteristics that I believe the Jews revere. I say read on to the two Book of Enoch articles. I feel strongly the Book of Enoch is a serious key in unlocking the mystery of the Davidic Servant. He is referred to as the Elect One and the Elect One is aligned extremely well with the many prophecies about the Davidic Servant, especially in Isaiah. The Elect One is linked to Isaiah 11:2-5, he is linked to the hidden servant, he is linked to the light of the gentiles, and more. Still, this only reinforces my witness as the Book of Enoch does not serve as a foundational witness to me personally as to the prophesies that center around this important end-times servant.

As for reincarnation, I totally agree and thought that was clear in my blog. Reincarnation includes coming back as a flower or an animal. This is certainly false. However, I shy away from drawing too many conclusions that are not had but it is certainly joyous to discuss these mysteries in a respectful environment.

Hello again Alaris.

You will not be able to start a new thread in the General Discussions until you reach 25 posts. It is considerate of you not to continue on a different subject in the Blue Moon thread, but I doubt NuclearFuels would mind being that the topic is already past. Rather than moving this subject here, can I suggest posting on this thread:
