Any Black Friday fans here?

37 Thanksgivings I've been in here, never participated one yet, even in my most financially meager years saving few hundred dollars (by wasting the day in crowds) never attracted me. But somewhat I admire people who do their homework and plan their day with great deals. I just count myself out because never have enough patience/stamina for the day?

I don't really like shopping to begin with, so I avoid Black Friday.  Christmas has become more irritating to me because we don't really need more stuff and yet I feel obligated to buy more stuff so I don't have five children who feel sad.

I was grateful on Thanksgiving that I wasn't working on Black Friday...at WALMART!!!  People...that is real hell on earth...:P  A couple of years ago..a customer bought a new TV...took it out to his car went back in to get the rest of his stuff...and of course..the TV was gone!! I don't like shopping.  When I have to...I make a list...get in.get out..

It still makes me laugh after 4 years in Arizona that I have to think about things like move Thanksgiving indoors and turn on the AC because it is too hot.

My son told me yesterday that his job on Thanksgiving for 5 hours was to sit in the back with TVs that customers had bought till they were done shopping so the TVs wouldn't get stolen!

I believe it...we have cops that do drive throughs all night long and all day...once something is paid for, it seems to be free game for some.  Christmas is wonderful...but the commericialism brings out the very worse even in the best of people.

It's really not that funny to live 10 months in a humid furnace every  year. I love when it gets cold here in Houston....this is why I love Utah........

After serving my mission there I decided I never wanted to live there again for that reason. I can' say I was ever cold there, though it did snow for about 29 minutes on Christmas eve.
