Popular Post Bill “Papa” Lee
Dispite many broken bones and concussions, all are at home. The youngest Rebekah had a bleed into her brain, and will have to go through speech and physical therapy. She struggles to say certain words, and cannot walk up stairs right now. She is five years old, so the Doctors think she will recover quickly due to her age. She will probably will not be able to start school (Kindergarden) right away. Zoe, the eight year old, has broken nose and facial bone, but no lasting harm. Their Mom is still in a lot of pain, physical and mental (beating herself up for the accident), but her Mom is her to help out, and we are as well. I thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. 9 Link to comment

rpn
You can ask the school for services so she can attend and accommodations. Get a note from the dr dx a traumatic brain injury and she should be able to get immediate services under Section 504, even if the the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act process takes longer. PM if you need more info. 1 Link to comment

Calm
Depending on her birthday and friends and size, it may not be a bad thing to wait. My birthday was close to the cutoff date, so I was always on the small size growing up...could never compete in PE. Also shy so ended up hating PE and recess and had body issues due to that (and other things). You don't want her to be on the extreme high end of size, but older is what I recommend if nothing else is a heavier consideration. Edited July 18, 2017 by Calm 2 Link to comment
