DONT TREAD ON ME & Elder Christofferson

Recommended Posts

Elder Christofferson spoke at the American Freedom Festival At Provo.

Positioned directly behind were two American Flags and between them was the Gadsden Flag aka "Dont Tread On Me".

He gave a good speech about religious freedom. I found the placement of the Gadsden flag a subtle (wise but harmless) "background" message regarding freedom of United States citizens.

Surprising!   Is he going to be a new "EzraTaft Benson?"  This is a critical time for America with the Federal government overrun with Islamists.

From a friend:  " Subject: This information has all been checked

Yes, it is true.

This information has all been checked, then double checked... it is 100% Correct.

That's why there is such an alarm within US government, since Trump's statement about temporary suspension of migration of Muslims to US till US authorities make sure there is a proper concept of safe penetration of US territory!

People are stunned to learn that the head of the U.S. CIA is a Muslim!

Do hope this wakes up some!

Until it hits you like a ton of bricks read it again, until you
understand!

We now have a Muslim government!

John Brennan, current head of the CIA converted to Islam while stationed in Saudi Arabia.

Obama's top adviser, Valerie Jarrett, is a Muslim who was born in Iran where her parents still live.

Hillary Clinton's top adviser, Huma Abedin is a Muslim, whose mother and brother are still involved in the now outlawed Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt!

Assistant Secretary for Policy Development for Homeland Security, Arif Aikhan, is a Muslim .

Homeland Security Adviser, Mohammed Elibiary, is a Muslim .

Obama adviser and founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, Salam al-Marayati, is a Muslim.
Obama's Sharia Czar, Imam Mohamed Magid, of the Islamic Society of North America is a Muslim .

Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships, Eboo Patel, is a Muslim .

Nancy Pelosi announced she will appoint Rep Andre Carson, D-Ind, a Muslim , as the first Muslim lawmaker on the House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, of all things! It would make Carson the first Muslim to serve on the committee that receives intelligence on the threat of Islamic militants in the Middle East! He has suggested that U.S. schools should be modeled after Islamic madrassas, where education is based on the Quran!!!

It's questionable if Obama ever officially took the oath of office when he was sworn in. He did not repeat the oath properly to defend our nation and our Constitution. Later the Democrats claimed he was given the oath again, in private. Yeah, right.

CIA director John Brennan took his oath on a copy of the Constitution, not a Bible??

Valarie Jarret wrote her college thesis on how she wanted to change America into a Muslim friendly nation and she is a Obama top advisor!

Congressman, Keith Ellison took his oath on a copy of the Qur'an, NOT the Bible!

Conservative Congresswoman Michele Bachman, R-MN, was vilified and verbally tarred and feathered by Democrats when she voiced her concern about Muslims taking over our government!

Considering all these appointments, it would explain why Obama and his minions are systematically destroying our nation, supporting radical Muslim groups worldwide, opening our southern border, and turning a blind eye to the genocide being perpetrated on Christians all over Africa and the Middle East!

"Guandolo remains the sole source we've found for this claim about John Brenna's being a Muslim, with no versions of it tracing back to any source other than him. The only thing approaching proof the former FBI agent had cited in support of his claim is the fact that Brennan once said during a speech that he had "marveled at the majesty of the Hajj." Since the Hajj is an annual pilgrimage undertaken by Muslims to Mecca, a holy city that non-Muslims not are allowed to enter, Guandolo arrived at the extremely far-fetched conclusion that Brennan himself must be a Muslim in order to have marveled at it. But Brennan didn't say he had ever taken part in such a pilgrimage or visited Mecca himself, and quite obviously someone with his extensive background in Middle Eastern affairs could know (and have seen) something of the Hajj without having participated in it..."

Longview, unless that is a joke, your credibility just plummeted with me.

"In truth, Valerie Jarrett was born in Iran — but to American parents. Her father was a geneticist and pathologist named Dr. James Bowman who was born in Washington, D.C. In 1955, he accepted a position in Iran to study favism, a glucose deficiency disease. Valerie Jarrett’s mother, Barbara Bowman, was born in Chicago and became a professor and expert in early childhood education.

Valerie Jarrett was born while her parents were in Shiraz, Iran, in 1956. The family lived in London from 1961-1962 while James Bowman studied genetics. Then, the family moved to Chicago, the Stanford Alumni reports:

“Jarrett grew up in Hyde Park, the racially diverse neighborhood that abuts the University of Chicago, where her father worked. She went to Massachusetts for prep school, and on to the Farm (Stanford). Her conviction to attend Stanford was so strong it didn’t even occur to her to visit beforehand.”"

I do not dispute this.  I admit I was surprised to learn that she has Jewish roots (see below).  However, there is an extensive and very strange alliance between Islamism and leftism.  There is no question that the administration is overflowing with radicals of various kinds.  Remember Van Jones?  He was forced to resign because of his extremist views.

Valerie Jarrett, President Obama’s senior adviser and assistant for intergovernmental affairs and public engagement, disclosed her Jewish ancestry to a Jewish gathering on Monday."

"It was recently revealed that for several months, President Obama's closest and most trusted advisor, Valerie Jarrett, has been leading secret negotiations with representatives of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, in an effort to develop normalized relations between the U.S. and Iran. Hallmarks of such a relationship would include the commencement of direct airline flights between American cities and Tehran; the granting of entry permits for citizens of each country to visit the other; and most significantly, high-level diplomatic dialogue regarding Iran's nuclear ambitions."

She worked for Chicago’s first black mayor, the radical Harold Washington, whose election was cheered by leftover 1960s radicals. "Barack Obama's closest and most influential adviser, Valerie Jarrett, has never been an enigma. She was, after all, the person most responsible for bringing the revolutionary communist Van Jones into the Administration six years ago, so her bona fides as a radical extremist have long been obvious to anyone who wasn't afraid to notice. But a newly released report from Judicial Watch, which examines key FBI documents related to Jarrett's many family ties to hardcore Communists, brings bold color to what previously were gray areas. The effect is nothing short of breathtaking, when we consider that the twice-elected President of our nation chose this woman—and no one else—to serve, essentially, as his co-president."

QED

If you believe in this kind of logical construct.   But I don't.   Can you rule out anyone of Jewish heritage to choose to become a moslem?   Or to support Islamic agendas?

I absolutely accept any US citizen's right to encourage lawmakers to pass laws that support faith and are consistent with how healthy societies should live and what good people should do to protect themselves and society.

There has always been a free wheeling discussion of lots of view points in America.   And the more insular a particular community is or becomes, the more likely the laws of that community will reflect the values that the majority in it want.   Yes, all laws must be constitutional (and it would not be constitutional to compel citizens to practice a specific faith).  But saying that Muslims (you do realize that it is just a small portion of American Muslim's who have any personal experience with Sharia Law as it is practiced in nations in the Middle East or Africa) shouldn't ever talk about ways to improve their communities, is the same thing as saying that Mormons should not urge Utah lawmakers to pass laws that limit alcohol availability.

You do realize there has been no evidence this is an actual quote from her yearbook, don't you?

http://www.snopes.com/politics/quotes/jarrettislam.asp

And certainly isn't a shot of her yearbook itself.

"

The quote to attributed "Valerie Jarrett, Stanford University, 1977" about her "seek[ing] to help change America to be a more Islamic country" is an unfounded one that has no source other than recent repetition (primarily on right-wing web sites and blogs). It's also an anachronism, as "Valerie Jarrett" didn't exist in 1977: she was born Valerie Bowman and didn't take the latter surname until she married William Jarrett in 1983.

Moreover, the wording of the meme in its commonly reproduced form is too stilted to be believable as the utterance of a fluent English speaker (e.g., "I am an Iranian by birth and of [sic] my Islamic faith"). Finally, no news article or document associated with Stanford University records Jarrett as having made this statement back in 1977; and if there were any credible evidence Jarrett had ever said anything remotely like this, it would have been a well-covered news story since shortly after the 2008 presidential election and not a obscure meme that didn't pop up until several years later."

Do you realize how barbaric Sharia Law is?  Such as "honor killings" of daughters who wish to be friends with people their parents disapprove of.  Genital mutilations on pre-teen girls.  Having to have 4 "worthy" moslem males to testify in defense of the rape victim (otherwise she will be stoned to death for being "unchaste").  Moslem males can easily divorce his wife (or wives) but the wife will put her life in jeopardy if she tries to leave.  Persecution and killing of homosexuals (strangely Islam allows sodomy on young boys).  It would be very dangerous to allow any aspects of Sharia Law to be implemented in any part of our country.  It is shockingly incompatible with the Constitution.

The left (mainly those that love multiculturalism and allowing immigrants to avoid "mainstreaming") are engaged in a strange advocacy of moslems in our country.  They promote overt teaching of Islam in public schools (even though they go berserk if Christianity is taught or some students bring a Bible to read during lunch break).  This is why I say there is a weird alliance between leftism and Islamism.

You make some very good points.  But I think there are plenty of evidence of Jarrett supporting Islamic agenda.  The administration's strange behavior in subverting Qaddafi's government and running a arms shipment between Libya and Syria.  Then Benghazi blowing up in their face.  So many questions.

Sudden thought:  only 5 years between 1977 and 1983, could Valerie have been living with Mr. Jarrett back in 1977?  (common law).  Also, does Stanford Univ. still publish the student yearbooks.  It should be a simple matter of finding a copy and seeing if her picture is in the yearbook any statements she may have in it.

Of course there are things barbaric about Sharia law.   There are things barbaric about mosaic law too, like eye for an eye, for instance.   There are things I'd suggest have been barbaric in american civil law --- slavery and women seen as property, among them.

It is up to a community, within the confines of the Constitution, to chose its laws to benefit society.   When everyone is fully engaged, " Now it is not common that the voice of the people desireth anything contrary to that which is right; but it is common for the lesser part of the people to desire that which is not right; therefore this shall ye observe and make it your law—to do your business by the voice of the people."  Mosiah 29:26

Be engaged in engaging your neighbors, not in shutting off discussion of points of view you fear.

You will find similar teachings in our Bible. We got over it. They can too.

As to the "persecution" of Christianity in schools that mostly comes from shock stories from the Right. They are blown out of all proportion so the base can be sufficiently enraged and then when the facts come out that add details that nuance the story a bit they have long since moved on to another rage-inducing example of poor journalism.

I have seen the Sharia-law scare where I live. An idiot Muslim family (parents of the clockmaker) and a crazy mayor trying to make a name in politics by fighting the Sharia hordes are at loggerheads making political hay. The story is much ado about nothing. Some locals want their Muslim clerics to practice the equivalent of non-binding arbitration and mediation but the mayor is suggesting they are trying to destroy the constitution. The other side is screaming racism over an obvious attempt to provoke a bomb scare. Both sides are idiots and would be ignored in an intelligent civilized society but we are neither.

Actually, God put that in so as to tamp down severe retaliation commonly done in primitive societies.  Keep things within the bounds.

Yes, very much so.  Sharia Law is unnecessary and brutal.  There is NO reason for Americans to tolerate the presence of medieval traditions, especially if it is going to harm women of all ages.

All the kid did was put a disassembled clock within a suitcase.  It had no point to be made for a science project or exhibit.  BUT it definitely had the "appearance" of terror device, such as for bringing an airliner down or to bomb facilities.  This moslem family did this to glorify "jihad."

ha ha ha.   Does not hurt to ask questions.

There Are None So Blind As Those Who Will Not See:

• According to the ‘Random House Dictionary of Popular Proverbs and Sayings’ this proverb has been traced back to 1546 (John Heywood), and resembles the Biblical verse Jeremiah 5:21 (‘Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not’). In 1738 it was used by Jonathan Swift in his ‘Polite Conversation’ and is first attested in the United States in the 1713 ‘Works of Thomas Chalkley’. The full saying is: ‘There are none so blind as those who will not see. The most deluded people are those who choose to ignore what they already know’.

No, I agree in this case. The kid, or more likely his parents, were trying to provoke an incident. That the parents have refused to allow the school to explain the situation is indicative. They had a long running feud with the mayor and were trying to score some cheap points. The whole thing was stupid. It did not glorify jihad. It was much more petty then that.
