Mormon Musical Has Done "It" Again?!

I'm supposing this pageant is similar in display to the Manti Pageant. I have read one

particular review on the Internet by a non-Mormon entitled "Manti Pageant Review: The

Mormon Myth", It seems to lend strong evidence the visitor is not presented with all fact.

I was wondering if there was an LDS version of a review of this pageant.

Thanks,

Jim

Jim: this article has reference to the Broadway musical "The Book of Mormon." The musical was written by the creators of "South Park" who are not members of the LDS Church. The creators claim to have based some of their material on their personal experience attending "The Hill Cumorah Pageant" in Palmyra, NY; however, it would be inaccurate to characterize the "musical" as a "pageant." While LDS pageants have as their goal to affirm and uplift through a Gospel-oriented message, this musical has been universally described (and praised) as blasphemous and pure religious satire. You can read two such reviews here:

A somewhat alternative review can be found here:

There are dozens of reviews that were either written by members of the LDS Church or that quote their reactions to the musical. I've linked to a few below:

Okra, the woman referred to in the article and her mother attended the Hill Cumorah pageant along with some historical sites.

"The Hill Cumorah Pageant takes passages from both the Bible and the Book of Mormon, with one of the culminating scenes being when Christ visits the people on the American continent, an event recorded in the Book of Mormon.

“The biggest impression I had gotten that day was that this was the first time in a really long time I remember truly feeling happy,” Reichhart said.

As they were leaving, Heidrich picked up a copy of the Book of Mormon for her daughter at a booth."

Yes, I see now that I misunderstood ThePlains. Thanks for clarifying.
