Joseph testified of Christ, and indeed spoke and wrote revelations that have been fulfilled, both during is life and beyond. Muhammad denied the divinity of Christ and from what I was told he (Muhammad) had on really big vision or revelation while in Jerusalem, at the "Dome of the Rock".

True Prophets... (Beyond BC and as Mormons believe did), declare Christ,

False Prophets...deny the divinity of Christ in every age.

There is also Hugh Nibley's March 1972 Ensign article, actually the very first Nibley I knowingly read. (I spotted a copy in the District Leader's Flat during the early part of my mission in England, sometime in 1974, I think.
