Bill “Papa” Lee
I am currently reading a book called; "Team of Rivals" written by Doris Kearns Goodwin. In the book she is discribing the home of William Seward, who was Lincoln's rival for the Presidency. Inn the book she was noting Lincoln's simple life and surroundings and that of Seward's where she notes his home and "The fireplace in the parlor had been crafted by the young carpenter Brigham Young, later prophet of the Mormon Church". Thought this was a cool find from surprising source. Link to comment
