Had an Oxford dictionary and grammar, the dismal Caesaer, Virgil's Aeneid, and I believe, Cato. With the exception of the dictionary and grammar, these were the versions used in English elementary schools since the last decades of the 19th century until the 1960s. Dismal failure. I didn't know how to study languages yet.
