In watching a segment, with JD, Dan is too knowledgable for so many, including JD. JD asks about whether Jesus knew He would be resurrected in 3 days. Dan's response is the "historical Jesus" did not know, JD then appears to use to prove LDS Theology wrong. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8kXbtFV/

Does the Bible Prophesy About the Israel/Hamas War?

Rev 9:9 is about attack helicopter. Rev 9:16-17 is about A10s and Tanks -
@Calm If I understand, when he says "God does lie" in other parts, it is the writers "creating" the "lie".

Have you seen this one? September 23, 2023, I watched it soon after it was released; but quite honestly did not understand his statement about God and lying.

Utah Hate Crimes on the Rise, the Propaganda is working
provoman replied to The Nehor's topic in General Discussions
I tend to think the article is somewhat irresponsible. It refers to "reported", anyone can report, and that same person can claim they were targeted based on a protected status. As for the Pride Flags, and Utah's victim targeting enhancement, was it done because it was pride flags, OR was it the person don't think any flag other than the US flag should be displayed - the first instance could be based on protected "class", the second situation is would not likely based on a protected "class" Overall, it is unfortunate that interactions that other feel attacked because of a protected status -

Update on Huntsman Lawsuit: Ninth Circuit Reverses Trial Court

I understand what you referring about the word 'funds'. In my employment, not a cpa or anything close to it, we refer to all deposits as 'funds' received. We also distinguish between funds by the source. Such that we refer to the combined sources dheld in an account as 'total funds', then break it down to funds from source A and funds from source B. This is done as required by United States Code. As what people believed, that may be only 1 element of a fraud claim, what was said, the speakers intent, are essential requirements to a fraud claim. I do not think Huntsman can show that the leadership of the Church has used the word "tithing funds" to mean anything other than individual receipts from members. -
Update on Huntsman Lawsuit: Ninth Circuit Reverses Trial Court

That is how I see it. Who spoke, what was said, what was the speaker attempting to induce actions from another. I think the 9th strained to over turn the lower court. In over turning the lower court, the Panel appears to admitting they favor a jury ruling based on emotion rather than cold-hard facts. An emotion ruling, to me is, interest paid by a disinterested 3rd party on surplus tithing funds, is tithing even though the disinterested 3rd party has no religious affiliation to the account holder. Cold-hard factual ruling, tithing has a specific meaning (10% of ones own 'income'); interest paid by a disinterested 3rd party on surplus tithing, is interest plain and simple. It can not be considered tithing because it is distinctly separate from tithing. And it is unreasonable to require a entity to say "principle tithing" when use of the word "tithing" speaks for itself. -

Concerning # 1, has anyone besides the "whistle blower" confirmed that, perhaps I misread the Panel opinion. Is there anything in the realm of finance that supports that interest earned or returns on investment are the same as the principle? From religious standpoint, tithing has a set definition. -

None of this makes sense to me. The 9th Circuit relied in part on purported statements made in business meetings that EPA was referred to as "tithing" regardless of principle or interest. Who outside those meetings would have known that? Have Church Leaders every discussed tithing surplus use/investment and that investment returns are also tithing. Interest or even "returns on investments" are "paid" by 3rd parties from their own "funds". -
What would you say is examples of that not happening?

I don't think his tiktok makes Bibical issue understandable. In explaining a Leviticus verse and homosexuality, he used the customs of the gentiles to establish his ideology. But he never explains why gentile customs should be used to explain what the Children of Israel practiced. I find his commentary a place to get references and then research myself.

How can there be a genuine issue of material fact if interest income paid for something? -
The "exceptions" are often used as the basis to make a law/rule. There are about 4 million lawfully possessed and lawfully used "firearms in the United States. The exception to lawful possession and lawful use is terrible tragedy. But after these tragedies people cling to the exception to demand more and more laws. The ineffective Brady Bill was based on an exception to lawful use of a firearm. Covid restrictions and covid mandates were based on the exceptions - death being and/or severe complications being the exception. It could said that our criminal code is based on the exception of those people who commit crime whilst the majority of society does not.

If it is anything like his tiktoks, he uses customs of the Romans to explain what the Lord told the House of Israel.

Well put. In my online experience, the vocal crazies on one side worship Karl Popper and sing his praise while spewing hate, encouraging and committing violence against all who will not conform to the de jour arm band campaign. And crazies on the other side use their religion to do the same. What you posted about rational and moral reminded me of a verse in the Book of Mormon that has always struck me as oddly worded; but deliberate Moroni 7:3 3 Wherefore, I would speak unto you that are of the church, that are the peaceable followers of Christ, and that have obtained a sufficient hope by which ye can enter into the rest of the Lord, from this time henceforth until ye shall rest with him in heaven.

Interesting. Though, Amazon polluting the skyline with acres upon acres of warehouses, the romney group holding secret meetings with county officials to ram-rod "ports" through, irresponsible housing development - a surf development being built in southern utah which will loose 136acres of water a year to evaporation, kennecot tailings pond full of heavy metals that get blown into the air by wind storms, ... I guess it is a matter of perspective.

Bible banned in Davis school libraries. Book of Mormon next?

The way the law was written, it seems clear it was written for a busy bodies who want nothing more than to use the power of the State to impose their world view. The review and appeals panel is supposed to include - parents that are representative of the student body.
