I would actually like to meet the woman who liked polygamy.

If something came down, I missed it. There was a buzz about a big announcement a couple months ago, and then they didn't announce anything.

If I weren't Mormon, I'd be finished with religion, and here is why. I faced unimaginable brutality and hypocrisy as a child. So much so that I did not address Heavenly Father until my late 20's. I started out Baptist then several others because I wanted to find a place that was loving and tried to do what Jesus Christ said to do. I eventually got so disillusioned that I became Muslim for 7 years.
Then in March of 2011, I encountered some Sister Missionaries after being rather pointedly directed to them by the Holy Spirit. It took a long time but I finally wanted to become Mormon. It took a very long time to adjust to having men around, but now I am good with them. Some may think that the LDS religion is too restrictive, but you should try Islam, then you will know restrictive. This church is the church of Jesus Christ and I know it is because of what has happened to me.

I was in a situation where polygamy was practiced around me. None of the women liked it. I was Muslim.

I've been Mormon less than 1 year, so perhaps I do not understand some issues.
The reaffirmed that Marriage is for a male and a female. That is not a surprise and is welcome. I wonder how the church will react to the new law in California?
I was surprised that it seemed that women were de-emphasised in Missionary work. This was a surprise to me. When I started visiting with Missionaries, it was women, and I have to say that if men had shown up, that would have been the end of it for me, such was my opinion of Men at the time. Now, I have a good relationship with men, but not then.

The way the evangelical is behaving is the reason that I can not stand the song, "Onward Christian Soldiers". Mormons have never felt like soldiers to me, but rather rescuers.
